Jumla district is located on Karnali Province of Nepal. Jumla is also a headquarters of Karnali
Zone. In the Sinja valley of this di5 Nepali Language were originate.This district is known as the
Darjeeling of Nepal as well as the Kashmir of Nepal. This district is famous for Marshi Rice and
Apple. Every year a large amount of apple are exported to other district along with Kathmandu.
After doing one week survey to find the ten most visited place of Jumla district I am able to listed
top ten places ,they are mentioned below;

1.Chandannath Temple; Chandannath temple along with Bhairabnath temple are famous
religious place of Hindu people in Jumla as well as in Karnali province.This temple is located in
Chandannath Municipality at the altitude of 2514m(8248 ft).This temple is located near by the
District Administration Office.It is believed that this temple was built during Kallala Dynasty also
known as Kalyal Dynasty.
This temple is named as Chandannath beside of that there is a history; People believe that it
named as Chandannath because a person name Chandannath hailed from Kashmir of India
who has brought a statue of Dattatreya known as Trimurti.Every year first day of dashain that is
Ghatastapana a new pole(Linga) is stand on a temple in a traditional way Nepal Army also
helped the local people to stand a pole(Linga).During a survey time most of the local people of
jumla recommend me to put this place on no.1 place I think the people has choose right place
because this place is identity of Jumli people.
2.Sinja Valley;Before the Unification of Nepal Sinja valley was the capital city of Baise
Kingdom. The founder of Sinja Valley was Nagraj. This place is famous all over the Nepal
because this is a place where a Nepali Language was originated hence this place is historically
and culturally important. Tourism Board of Nepal enlisted this place as a top 100 destination of
all over all which are most be visited. This place is enlisted in UNESCO World heritage tentative
list on January 30 2008 in cultural category. This place is also a gateway to Rare Lake (Biggest
lake of Nepal)
3.Karnali Technical School(KTS); Karnali Technical School is the first technical school of
Nepal. This School was established in 1980 (2037 B.S) by Nepal government. Different subjectsare taught here like Agriculture,Forestry, Jta, Overseers, Sub Overseer etc. This school is
popular because of the building which roof are made of stone. The building are made like
buildings of Switzerland hence people of jumla have give a nick name of this school as
Switzerland. Many people visit here because it is far from residential area. People enjoy there
holiday by visiting School and area around the school.
4.Gothi Chaur ; A grass land that you should not miss when you are in Jumla. June July and
August are the best time to visit here although we can visit here here in any month of year. This
place is famous for Jungle Safari, Rice pudding, grassland with varieties of colorfully flower.
This is starting point of Thakurjui trekking , on the way of Dolpa , Historically importance artistic
water tap. National sheep goat research centre is also located here. Although a place is
naturally beautiful and beat place to visit there is no proper road facility and hotel facilities.
There is only one hotel with some guest room hope a local government will improve this
problem soon in a near future. This place is mainly recommended for Camping.
8.Thakur Jiu ; Thakur jiu is a famous religious place for Hindu people. Thakur jiu is located in
the border of Jumla and Jajarkot district. Many pilgrimage from jumla and Jajarkot district visit
here to worship Thakur jiu in the month of Shrawan and bhadra . The people who are not able
to visit Thakur jiu due to the several reason they can worship a God thakur jiu in a temple which
is established in gaurigaun village.
6.Dangsangu; Dangsangu is a meeting points of two big river. This is also a place where the
funeral of death body is done. In this place every year during tej a big fears (Mela) is organised
many women come here to pray lord Shiva for begging their husband long live and peace in
their family. This place is also a gateway to go Goths Chaur Thakurjui jui and Dolpa district.
7. Patarashi Himal; Patarashi Himal is located on Patarashi rural Municipality. The height of
this mountain is not available in Internet we are not able to visit the rural Municipality office due
to outbreak of global pandemic Covid 19. Beautiful patarashi mountain can be observed from
the headquarters of patarashi rural Municipality Dillichaur.
8.Cheera Chaur; Cheera Chaur is more likely similar of Gothi Chaur. Cheers Chaur is mainly
famous for curd, a grassland with a varieties of colorfully flowers etc.Many people Visit here to
observe the whole jumla valley.
9.Gumba;Ghumba is a religious place for Buddhist people. This gumba was officially opened bySinja valley of Jumla district.This Cave is famous because it is believed that the five pandabas
were come here with her mom and stay for some months. Inside the cafe there is a statue of
Five pandabas and their mom kunti.
Altogether jumla district is one of the the beautiful district of Nepal .There are so many others
famous and beautiful place which are not yet identified. I will like to suggest the local
government of jumla district to identify those place and works for the preservation of those
historically,culturally and religiously important places.

10.Pandab Gufa Sinja ; Pandas Gufa of Sinja Valley is historically and religious importance
place.This is located in at Sinja valley of Jumla district.This Cave is famous because it is believed that the five pandabas
were come here with her mom and stay for some months. Inside the cafe there is a statue of
Five pandabas and their mom kunti.

11. khali Chaur: Last but not least this is also one of the gorgeous and fantastic place for your and camping in Jumla valley.Many people of jumla valley used to visit here during their vacation time. This place is located in the Patarashi Rural Municipality Ward no.6 Patmara Jumla
